Finally got the bird on the dyno...

I got the T/A on the dyno today. I had fought a miss all summer, and the cause ended up being the stock LS1 coil packs I used for my conversion on my LT1. I upgraded to the LS2 truck coils, from a 02 and newer 6.0L 2500 pickup, and the miss went away. Unfortunately it was after the track closed for the year.

The car put down 695.67RWHP@6100 rpm's and 598.76RWTQ@6000 rpm's SAE. STD uncorrected HP and TQ #'s were higher. This was on pump 90 gas with Turbo Power -40* windshield washer fluid(meth injection). Saw about 22# boost with 105* IAT's. I did the tuning using HP Tuners. The car's mods are in the link in my sig below.

Richard seems to think there is a lil more there, 20-30hp, as there was still some minor misfires in the upper rpm's, and is probably due to the fact that the spark plugs haven't been changed since this summer. Who knows what the #'s would be with some race gas.

Big thanks to Richard Hale for his knowledge and advice in the minor tuning we did. Ill post up the dyno graph after he emails it to me. Pretty happy with the results. Using a basic 15% loss for drive train, the engine should be somewhere near 800HP, not bad for a lil LT1 SBC.

I have an e85 tune ready, too bad we'll prolly never see it. Timing was 17-18*, would have been 20-21 with race gas. Oh well.

Thanks guys. 6.6 s10, get yours on the dyno. I thought my car was running pretty good when I took it in there. With Richards' help, we were able to gain 112 HP with tuning alone. Anyway, the graph as promised. You can kinda see where the breaking up started occurring at about 6k, and how it could easily see low-mid 700's once resolved.
